Help! I've Lost My Merry HoHoHo !

A friend chided me just a bit this morning for not posting. I seem to have lost my Merry HoHoHo spirit and don't know where to find it! My cards are not yet mailed - and generally they are off & outta here during the first week of December. The presents remain unwrapped & un-mailed - New Year's gift's this year perhaps? Will my friends ever forgive me? The cookies are unbaked - though about perhaps but not in the oven! I am feeling thoroughly un-enthused, unmotivated & stupefied. It should be the complete opposite this year. We have snow on the ground, frigid temperatures & a generous wind chill component - & yet I sit, eyes slightly glazed, thinking, only thinking, of all of the things I should be doing. What I want to do is crawl into my warm bed & and have a sweet dream. What's with this? Where did my Merry HoHoHo spirit go? I simply can't find it anywhere. Not in the songs, or in the beauty of the snow, or in the cards, or in the icicles hanging from the roof. It's gone & I am fearful that I won't find it until after the holidays are over. Anyone else feel mired in Grinch-land too?

Yes! I'm putting it down to CFS which is really bad this year. I've been getting worried about myself too. Same as you - cards to post, presents to organise - all of it. Not sure what the solution is. Is it just a bad year for CFS?

Not so much Grinch-land as just apathetic! No tree up, no decorations out. A shame, isn't it?

Yep, my friends and I were discussing this today. We don't know why, but we are all frustrated by the feeling of just going through the motions. I am hoping that I find it quick! LOL! I think the cold makes me want to curl up and be cozy and not think. Hope you find your HO HO Ho. Cheers.

Oh Marie, you sound so sad, cheer yourself by reading back on your posts to see all the achievements you have made, and read the comments to see how much you inspire and cheer so many people out here. We look forward so much to your positive inspiring posts so if you can't find a HO HO HO, see if you can reach inside for a little HE HE HE.
So glad you are back blogging and I love the cat. Thinking of you lots and sending hugs from England.

Ho, ho, ho --- I can totally relate to this post! I frequently am overwhelmed by Christmas! This year is a little better --- but still overwhelming. There is a cure and I must say it's helped many times over the years. Instead of "traditional Christmas" pack your suitcase and go traveling. I recommend the desert Southwest. It's a cure, every time.
