Ready To Get Back On Schedule

It's been a week! Tuesday I had to have my beloved Bart sent to the Happy Catnip Grazing Ground. It was time. It was difficult. Our pooch is feeling better. His blood work is just about back to normal. We are still giving him some meds and his appetite is very slowly returning.

I feel I am climbing back " out of the hole " and am ready to rock and roll - well maybe that's a bit overstated - but I am ready to play again! Ingredients arrived today from The Soap Dish . I am ready for my first foray in soap-making this weekend. My desire to try making these super emollient, super pure, unscented bars came from Vicki. She sent me an assortment of her wonderful soaps & I got hooked. They are great for folks that have sensitive skin and allergies. I'll try one of her recipes - which she was gracious enough to share with all of us on her blog.

I also got some fabulous bulky moss green (#299 on the page that is linked) Perendale wool to start on my Einstein Coat - from the "The Knitting Experience" by Sally Melville. It's been on my list of "would like to dos" for some time now, but I like working on only one large project at a time. Now that I finished the scarf sweater I felt that I could start this one. Hopefully the glass buttons that I made a couple of months ago will work well on this coat. I am the one who said they would never, ever knit a sweater - aren't I ?!

A friend who works at the library snuck an amazing book called "ArtWear" into my stack of books that were"on hold". She knew that I would love seeing it. All I can say is Wow! I will be posting lots more about this amazing book - with photos of course - over the weekend. It's already on my Amazon wish list.It was a nice surprise. Thanks for thinking of me Heidi !!!! It made my day.

deepest hugs - bart lives on in hearts and memories. good news that your pooch is doing better - whew - keep on, keeping on buddy

my e made soap for holiday presents last year and it was divine and she had great fun to boot.

I'm always amazed with all the different types of things you create and try out - I feel so pedestrian.... but it's good not to compare oneself with others....

I'm so sorry about Bart, but I'm glad to hear that the pooch is improving. So much love is invested in these furry companions.

Glad to see you 're feeling better, even though it has been a hard weekd.
Knitting is very addictive, and like any junky, you have to increase the take :-)
Have a nice weekend

So sorry to hear about Bart Marie :( but I'm glad to hear that the dog is on the mend. It's so hard when pets are sick.

What a lovely blog you have. Just wanted to send along my condolences regarding Bart. I have an old (19) beloved boy who is losing ground and I am quite saddened by it. They are such fine friends. xo
