PlayTime With TAP (Transfer Artist Paper) from Leslie Riley

I had had some of Leslie Riley's  Transfer Artist Paper (TAP) for some time but had not used it for some odd reason. I took it out recently when C&T's Creative Troupe had what they term a "call-out" for playing with this paper - since they will soon be a distributor for this great transfer paper. Need I mention that I am now going to buy a larger sized package of her paper?! I love this stuff.

I had no idea what I wanted to do with it as projects and so I decided to continue to play with the idea of transparency - my recent craze continues. I added a photograph of mine and printed it onto the transfer paper and then applied it a 6" X 6" ( 15.24cm X 15.24 cm) canvas. I added some dips and dats of color and then wrapped the edges of the canvas with batik strips. That's experiment number 1. It goes to a new home on Monday.
The page below began as a mistake. The photo printed on a piece of plain paper by mistake (am I the only one that does that?!) Of course I hated the idea of wasting that much ink and so I decided to try it as a transfer in  a journal and it actually worked really well too. I was very pleased with the results.  That's Experiment 2.  I made several other prints - on both fabric and paper - that I will photograph when the sun returns I am loving this transfer paper. Expensive but worth it.  If you do decide to try it please remember to read the instructions since they are full of very good tips and tricks.
In another art form - the most perfect art of Mother Nature - I am astounded at how early the roses are blooming this year! Usually around here they bloom at the end of May and here they are - adding riotous color to my days already. The lilacs are about done now - and they too generally are in full bloom at the end of May near memorial Day. The Lily-of-the-Valley are fully budded and ready to scent the air. Hope that everyone is delighting in a happy Spring (or early Fall if you're down under) day!

I have to try the TAP papers! Thanks for the review. I picked my first rose last Friday and the poppies are opening today. At this rate the garden is going to be bloomed out before Memorial Day! Have a great week!
