Saturday Ramblings

Yesterday was beautiful. Sunny and cool. A perfect day for taking some photos of our 'hood'. The beaches were empty except for heron's taking advantage of the sunshine. Today is overcast - but there is a prmise of more sun for the afternoon !

These ruins of an old carriage house have always entranced me. It's difficult to get a decent photo of the location because it is generally in lots of shade. The carriage house and, presumably, the main house, were reduced to rubble in a fire long ago.
A line of rowboats line the beach - waiting for summer use.

I'm spending time catching up on blogs this morning, and it's always a pleasure to read yours! I'm in love with Epley! This is exactly why I enjoy your work so much. There's always a surprise to be found! I am very drawn to the carriage house pictures, too. I can see an awesome quilt developing for you.

Are those black round rocks set into those arches are so interesting. Is that a common local architectural feature? Closeups! Next trip...

I love your pictures of the carriage house. I have always loved stone houses and the ruins or leftovers are still beautiful.
