Making a Garment from a Square

Anita Luvera Mayer explained how to make the garment shown above from square units. The basic formula calls to have someone measure you from the bony area at the base of the back of your neck to the knuckle on your ring finger. Multiply that figure by 2 and then multiply that figure by .007 to get the size if the finished SQUARE to knit! It's a little more complicated that that because you turn up the sleeves so that you don't have points and you cut off the bottom so that the garment goes over your hips. It was a magic formula though to make a beautiful garment from a simple square. Personally I think that the garment looks best on tall, thin people - but none-the-less - it was awesome.
