Migrane Today

Not much to say today. I came down with a wicked migraine and have been abed all day. Tomorrow will be better - lots to do before I get back to the work-a-day world on Wednesday. Bart has been snuggled up next to me - keeping me warm. I'll be much perkier in the morning.

The quilt above was a gift to a friend's daughter for her college graduation.....wasn't even finished in this photo -but it has a lovely, warm fleece backing and my friend Keri did a super job on it with her longarm.

I was just going to post on my blog about how much I haven't gotten done lately. I've had 3 migraines in the last 7 days. The third one came on today at work. I'm supposed to go to Toronto Wednesday and Thursday - I'm not looking forward to traveling after a week of migraines! And I have sewing and fabric painting that I want to do. I hope you are feeling better soon and that neither of us has another migraine for the rest of the year (I know better than to hope for longer than a month!)

Ah, the season of strange foods and migraines. It took me a long time to make the connection because I had to look a whole 24 to 48 hours back at what I had eaten for the culprits - almost always a combination of processed foods with additives. It's the combination that will get you. For me a can of Campbells soup for lunch on Monday, then a nice baloney sandwich on Tuesday will add up to a class 5 migraine on Wednesday.

If you get the "cracked rainbow" warning lights and can take aspirin, I have a pre emptive cure.

I had 2 migraines in Nov, one of them last Sunday. I have been having fewer in the last 5 years and then they bunch up and attack when I least expect it. I love the colors and pattern in this quilt, another jewel box of colors.

Sorry for your headache, hope it's better soon. What a beautiful photo though, I'd love to give or receive such a terrific gift, but I've never even made a real quilt. Congratulations on being published!!!!! That's awesome.
