I have been feeling very drawn to doing more applique recently. I love hand applique and find it to be a very satisfying way to pass some time (yeah - like I have a lot extra to pass!). I need to get back to work on my "Baltimore My Way". I would like to get it done while I can still enjoy it ! Maybe the blocks will go faster now that I am not working a day job quite as much! These were a couple of small blocks I did for fun awhile back. I am gradually unearthing blocks I had forgotten about !
Yesterday I felt the need to make a new bag. My goal was to make a bag that was less time consuming than some of the others, but I wanted it to be large enough to contain sewing or knitting notions & it had to have a zipper. I wanted to have a good time - the "slow cloth" experience as recently discussed on Sharon B's blog. Oddly enough, although this one took just a bit less time than others - it came together easily and is one of my favorites to date. I may have to make another "slow bag" today !
