Full Of GraceFriend Robin over at Bead Lust tagged me for a meme and, while there are so many of these going the rounds, this one is more interesting than most I think. Plus, since it was Robin that tagged me I decided that I had to play along! I will informally tag some folks that I would love to know more about at the end of this post - but please don't feel obligated. I totally understand it if you prefer to hit the delete key !
1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I am now doing much the same as I was doing in 1998, but I am enjoying life more now- and, therefore, I am enjoying what I do more too! I find a lot of joy in creative work & time spent alone daydreaming or getting into the "flow". Each year goes by faster now and each year seems to bless me with new friends & new ways to explore creativity. Each year I am also more at peace with life - DH has had a hugely positive effect on my psyche!
2. What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order)?
Finish two canvasses for Paulette's "Organic Backgrounds"class.
Make a birthday gift that's important.
Get cracking on the Quilt For An Hour quilt - I refuse to not get this one made!
Work on my SAQA auction piece - it's almost done!
Make a batch of soap from one of Vicki's recipes.
Make an auction piece for The Alliance For The American Quilt.
3. Snacks I enjoy.
Raw carrots
Raw peas
Raw cauliflower
Newman's Own Pretzels
Butterfinger ice cream
Greek God's Fig Yogurt
4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire.
I would have a heck of a good time! I would, perhaps, buy a new Bernina and an A-1 Longarm & do some home remodeling. Then I would have so much enjoy giving things away to make people happy. No kidding. The look on someone's face when one of their dreams or wishes comes true is just about the best thing in the world! I would love to be able to shower my friends with presents - and make them feel as special as they have always made me feel!

- New York City
- Connecticut
- Hawaii
- England - only a short, intermittent time
- California - again for only a short time
- Chicago
- The best place of all. San Juan Island, Washington. Paradise on earth I think.
Places I think I could live?
Florence, Italy - how I long to return there and spend some more time!
The Amalfi Coast in Italy - another favorite place.
Possibly somewhere near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The South of France - you got it - another favorite!
All in all though I can't really think of moving - although some heat on the bones in winter would sure feel good! When my father decided to get a home in Florida (he was in Connecticut) I thought that he had taken leave of his senses. Now that my own bones hurt though - I understand the "why" very well !
