Ah, ice over blue/black water! makes me homesick. I love the sound you get when you chuck a fist sized rock out across ice not thick enough to walk on yet.
And then, when the ice gets thick, the sounds it makes as is grows, especially in the night. I used to go out on the lake at night and lay down on the ice and look at the stars. The living ice under me is a bone deep memory.
Inspiration but how to visually capture those sounds? the sensation of cold? the vibrations you can feel?
