Yesterday I felt the need to make a new bag. My goal was to make a bag that was less time consuming than some of the others, but I wanted it to be large enough to contain sewing or knitting notions & it had to have a zipper. I wanted to have a good time - the "slow cloth" experience as recently discussed on Sharon B's blog. Oddly enough, although this one took just a bit less time than others - it came together easily and is one of my favorites to date. I may have to make another "slow bag" today !

Very pretty! Which tool do you use to braid your straps? I'm looking at the Diva cordmaker and the Kumihiro (sp?) disks and can't make up my mind. I'm not sure it matters.
Another fabulous bag Marie. You do such a great job with them.
HI, love your "slow bag"!
I love your quilting, Marie. The inside is almost as pretty as the outside! So the zipper wasn't a time-taker, huh? I'm interested in your braided straps, too, as they are always so pretty.
I loved your 'slow' bag and although you have been tongue in cheek about it I think it fits the 'slow' category as the design is thought through rather than one of those half hour project the craft industry is alwys trying to sell us
wonderful - I love your bag and you are a source of inspiration
